Fusion "84"
It's a lifelong fascination
Of a love-song's sacred dream
To render for my heart sake
What my eyes have never seen
On a living color canvas
And through words I chose to write
Id envisioned and recorded
Every shadow and highlight
It's a complicated image
Of an amputated soul
Scratching through the carnage,
For the lost half of the whole.
From distant worlds to lives cry out
Reaching for each other,
Vainly touching proxy hearts
And masquerading lovers.
For we somehow separated
In the crowded busy street,
Where a screaming pool of pavement
Grew a forest thick with feet.
We're identical in substance
And we share this lonely heart
Now I'm spanning time and distance
To reclaim my counterpart.
So Let us fuse together
Two atoms into one
And radiate energy
That emulates the sun!
And redwoods chopped to microchips
Assemble whole again
With the long forgotten broken hearts
Of all women and men.
