Endless Night "00" (Korea)

In a dream a sudden light burst through the darkness
As the ceiling from above me blew away
And the shaken, sleeping dreamer was awaken
By the long forgotten warming light of day.

The healing light would luminate each hour
And render all the world in living hue.
So I extended all my being like a flower
Ascending from the garden made anew!

At last the glacier was receding
And I emerged from the chrysalis of night.
My new wings, though wet and unappealing,
Expanded with the dream of taking flight.

In a moment my light was doused completely.
Its healing powers aimed another's way.
Leaving me to shudder in the shadows
As the minutes turned to hours without days.

Now the warmth of the light is dissipating
Like my fading distant memories of home.
Its luminescence just a recollection
In an endless night of dreaming this alone.
