From the Vine "84"
I need not sugar-coat these words
The flavor's natural
They've ripened on the vine
Flowing from your lips to mine
So take this fruit and eat untill your filled.
There's a summer sun within you
And there in a sweetness grows,
More wild, more exotic
More hypnotic as it flows
As dew upon the evergreen,
As whales 'neath the sea
Embracing every living thing,
It reaches out to me.
You're that element of nature
Deep beneath the sleeping snow
That awakens in the springtime
Making trees and flowers grow.
You're every warm and gentle breeze
And then a hurricane
More noble then the redwood trees
More soothing then the rain.
You're all the fruit I hunger for
Your nectars brought me life
There's little else I'll ever need
Your nectar and perhaps your seed
These two indeed suffice.
